I don't usually post two days in a row, but this is something worth writing about, or rather, something unbelievable. In my profession, not that unbelievable, but this hasn't happened to me since student teaching (to this extent) so 31 years is a long time to go between experiences like this. I had a little preschooler throw up all over me today. Thank goodness the preschoolers are short, because it got all over my pants, shoes, and even hands because I was bending down when she was telling me she didn't feel good. Poor little thing....I was able to sprinkle cornstarch all over the floor, herd the others to the rug (gawking and saying "there's puke all over!"). They kept going back to look. I was able to call the mom rather quickly and have her come to school to get her daughter. I called Chelsea too and she came over to watch the rest of the class so I could slip in and change and start a load of laundry. Oh my. This is the kind of thing you can't write about on Facebook, which is why I deactivated my account! You need friends to tell and support you, but when it is something so personal, it can be turned into gossip pretty quickly.
Now to the GOOD part of the day. I went over to visit Mom and take her flowers for Valentine's Day (she was busy yesterday) and she got a good report from the Dr. She had two shots in her hip, and doesn't have another appointment for a month. They are trying to shrink the tumor and it hasn't spread to any other organs. Praise the Lord God Jehovah. I prayed for a miracle. Thank you, Jesus!
It will be a "Calgon" night. Take me away, Calgon...far away from sickness, disease, and worry. That is, right after I spend a few hours sending out pre-enrollment forms for next year's group. Can I retire, God? I know you hear and answer my prayers!
